The mission of The L-Fund is to provide resources to lesbians (cisgender and trans) in crisis, to empower lesbians through education, and to celebrate lesbians in the community.
The L-Fund offers financial assistance to a lesbian or transgender lesbian in a specific crisis. The financial assistance is to address a specific situation rather than resolve an on-going financial issue. Applicants must be able to sustain themselves financially.
Examples of a financial crisis would be situations that could lead to eviction, homelessness, loss of transportation, etc.
L-FUND EDUCATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (LEAP)
LEAP provides education grants of up to $2,500 to attend a trade/vocational school, community college, or university. The grant can be used for tuition, application fees, books, ESL classes, health insurance, and living expenses.

Applicants must be an out lesbian or out transgender lesbian to qualify for an education grant.
